About Jessica.....

Jessica Webster is both a Certified Secondary School Counselor (CSC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been working with children in the community and in schools for over twelve years. Jessica specializes in therapy with children, adolescents and adults who are working to overcome trauma. She has post-master's training in Cognitive Therapy from Beck Institute and advanced coursework in trauma studies and treatment. Jessica is also trained as a Level II Clinician in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). This therapy has been used successfully to treat panic disorders, self-injury, addictions, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders and PTSD. Throughout her career, Jessica has worked in the field of special education with autistic spectrum disorders, case management, behavior modification planning, and implementation. Her unique combination of school guidance and psychotherapy experience has led Jessica to develop an interest in college and career planning for at-risk students with emotional support and unique learning needs.

In addition to treating private clients, Jessica works full time at the University of Pennsylvania Nursing and Biobehavioral Health Department as the Senior Research Interventionist on the Healthy Brains & Behavior Study. The study is looking at the risk and resiliency factors to the development of childhood aggression in 11 and 12 year old children along with nutrition and cognitive behavioral interventions to decrease aggression.
