Katie Gillespie MA, ATR-BC, LPC

Katie Gillespie is a graduate of MCP Hahneman/ Drexel University’s Creative Arts in Therapy program. She is a board certified Art Therapist and a Licensed Practicing Counselor who has worked in the mental health field for over twelve years. Katie specializes in treating women and adolescents with eating disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma. She completed her practicum at Friend’s Hospital eating disorders unit has worked at the Renfrew Center in Philadelphia over the last three years.

Katie utilizes an eclectic repertoire of therapy approaches with a person-centered foundation. Art Therapy is a wonderful tool to help individuals gain insight into their needs and relationship patterns so that the healing process can begin. Art therapy can also be used as an outlet for expression, a way to honor personal experiences and create tools for recovery.
